From arc lamps to light rail vehicles
In 1906, our company was founded by Theodor Kiepe in Düsseldorf as a specialist workshop for arc lamps. The product range was steadily expanded to include switches, contact materials, and complete controllers for rolling mills, as well as switches, resistors, relays, and other equipment for public transport.
After World War II, the company focused on restoring overhead lines and manufacturing equipment for mine locomotives, cranes, industrial plants, and traction systems for trolleybuses and light rail vehicles.
Since the late 1960s, the industrial division has been established, offering safety and monitoring devices for conveyor systems in the bulk material industry.

Our headquarters is located at Paul-Thomas-Straße 48 in Düsseldorf. This is where management, development, production, and sales are based.
